20 Minutes on the Treadmill

How come everyone uses 20 Minutes on the Treadmill to tell us how much exercise is in stuff?

4 minutes of sex is equivalent to 20 minutes on the treadmill, they always say.

I’m afraid, however, that this is not always true, the sex thing.  At least, it’s untrue in that it’s not specific enough.

Allow me to clear things up:

4 minutes of being on top in a sex situation is equivalent to 20 minutes on the treadmill in terms of back of leg sweat.

4 minutes of giving oral sex is the equivalent of 20 minutes on the treadmill in that it seems 100000X longer than it really is.

4 minutes of any kind of sex is equivalent to 20 minutes on the treadmill when one considers how badly I want to use my iPod in both situations.

4 minutes of doggy style sex is equivalent to 20 minutes on the treadmill when measured in terms of time spent looking at butts.

4 minutes of receiving oral sex is equivalent to 20 minutes on the treadmill in absolutely no way unless you are using some kind of great treadmill the rest of us don’t have access to.

4 minutes of sex on the couch is the equivalent of 20 minutes on the treadmill in terms of how much ambient TV is watched.
