Helpful Snowman Reading Challenge!

Oy, there’s a dorky title. If my junior high self saw me with a web site, he would think I was so rad. If he saw this was what I was doing with it, I shudder to think the words he would use.

Here you’ll find a save-able, printable PDF for the Helpful Snowman 2015 Reading Challenge. I think you’ll have fun with it.

This was made in response…or not in response, but as a version of the book challenge on Book Riot that works better for me. Because honestly, I think I really do okay reading across gender/racial/nationality lines. I’m not saying there’s no room for improvement, but as I looked at their challenge, I already do a lot of that stuff just in the course of my natural reading. Comics, books by women, books that take place outside North America, poetry, short stories, all that stuff, I don’t have to convince myself to enjoy it. I’m already there. I love short stories. I usually get into some poetry at some point in the year.

So this one’s a little different. I would say the big, main difference, there’s a decreased focus on what you read, but an increased focus on how you experience and consume literature.

Join me, if you dare. Which makes it sound scary. Seriously, it’s going to be a blast.
